VJ to give insight of how rigging will be done through his opinion poll

President Rupiah Banda has sent veteran politician Vernon Mwaanga to analyse how people in the Southern province will vote next week.

And Vernon Mwanga is set to announce results of an ‘opinion’ poll favoring president Banda just before voting day.
According to highly placed sources, Mwaanga has been sent by President Banda to specifically analyze the voting pattern in rural areas of the province.
The source briefed the Watchdog that a team comprising of recycled politicians Daniel Munkombwe and Suresh Desai has been going round the province to campaign for President Banda and analyze his chances of retaining power.
The source said the team is also preparing the people in rural areas to accept the results which will be in favour of President Rupiah Banda.
“These people have been meeting MMD and other senior citizens in rural
areas, people with influence to try and highlight President Banda’s achievements and ask them to help the people accept the results next week.”
“Honourable Mwaanga is in the province to analyze the voting pattern during next week’s elections, so far he has been in Namwala, Choma, Mbabala, Dundumwezi, Sinazongwe and today he will be in Munyumbwe before he can finally return to Lusaka,” said the source.
The source told the Watchdog that Mwaanga together with Desai and Munkombwe will later this weekend hold a press briefing where an opinion poll favouring President Banda will be revealed.
“This Presidential and parliamentary opinion poll will released on Friday by Honorable VJ Mwaanga in Lusaka, it indicates that President Banda will win next week’s election by 46 percent, while PF’s Michael
Sata will trial behind Banda with 35 percent,” the source told the Watchdog.
The source also said the opinion poll suggests that the worst loser in this year’s election will be UPND’s Hakainde Hichilema managing only less than 15 percent respectively.
