Voting starts as PF says will accept defeat

Voting is under way  in Muchinga, Chama North and Livingstone parliamentary by-elections and wards across the country.

The Watchdog understands that in Livingstone queues had started forming as early as 05 hours.

And PF Secretary-General Wynter Kabimba has told Radio Phoenix that his party is willing to accept defeat in the elections whose results will start coming in by 21 in the evening.

Kabimba said his party has lost elections before under the MMD and that there will be nothing different by losing this time.

PF candidate Joseph Akufumba also said two days ago that he is ready to lose.

Meanwhile, journalists covering the bye-elections have been put on a K2 million pay roll by the government, according to Zambia Reports.
