Water Shortage grips Sikanze Police Camp

While Inspector General Stella Libongani enjoys water in Longacres, her officers are facing critical water shortages in Lusaka’s Sikanze Police camp. Investigations by the Watchdog established that the most affected areas are the A and B sections where the police officers and their families are being forced to spend long hours looking for water.

Speaking on conditions of anonymity, some police officers said that the shortage of water has affected their vegetables gardens as well as threatening their chicken businesses that supplement their meagre salaries.

The water shortage also poses a serious threat to the Mounted Police section where the horses need the commodity to cool off with this heat.
