The Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) says the church remains optimistic of meeting President Michael Sata over the constitution.
CCZ Secretary General Suzanne Matale says it has been the desire of the Church to meet the Head of State over the issue of the enactment of the country’s new constitution and that this is why the church has been making requests to seek an audience with the President.
Reverend Matale says the church has not however received any responses from State House, but that it remains hopeful that its request will be granted as quickly as possible.
Reverend Matale has told Qfm News in an interview that the Church has no intentions of giving up on its request to meet the President despite having not received any feedback on the many numerous requests to meet him.
The CCZ Secretary General says the idea of the Church’s request to the meet the Head of State over the constitution is to have a discussion with him.
