President RUPIAH BANDA says the meeting he held with his Malawian Counterpart BINGU Wa MUTHARIKA was fruitful.
Mr BANDA says the meeting which was called by Mr WA MUTHARIKA who is the African Union Chairman discussed issues relevant to the great lakes region and the African Union.
He said the meeting took about two hours and included a tour of the new Malawian Parliament building which is being constructed with the help of the Chinese government.
President BANDA is chairperson of the International conference on the Great Lakes region.
The President who returned to Lusaka yesterday afternoon was recieved by Vice President GEORGE KUNDA, home affairs minister LAMECK MANGANI and Lusaka Province minister CHARLES SHAWA.
