Barotseland Prime Minister (Ngambela) Clement Wainyae Sinyinda says the people of Barotseland are neither concerned nor interested in the draft constitution publicised on Monday.
And Ngambela Sinyinda has told Foreign Affairs minister Given Lubinda that the Kuomboka ceremony is for people of Barotseland.
Sinyinda made the comments Tuesday evening on South Africa Broadcasting Corporation ( SABC)’s Channel Africa.
He said the people of Barotseland can choose either to hold the Kuomboka or not but that whatever they decide, they are not under an obligation to explain to anyone outside Barotseland.
Given Lubimba on Monday was quoted by the government funded and controlled Daily Mail as saying that the PF regime has not been officially informed of the cancellation of the Kuomboka ceremony for 2012.
Lubinda promised to engage the Bartose Royal Establishment over the matter.
But Nganmbela Sinyinda said the BRE can not be forced to hold the Kuomoboka and that they have no time for Given Lubinda.
On the draft constitution, Ngambela Sinyinda said he has not even seen it but that he has heard that it says something about Federal government.
He told Channel Africa that if that was the case, then it is good for the people of Zambia and wished them well, but said the people of Barotsealand are not part of that constitution.
