The United Party for National Development (UPND) says none of its MPs will ever accept to be appointed as minister in the PF government.
UPND MP for Choma Cornelius Mweetwa told radio Phoenix Sunday that his party will instead provide checks and balances to the ruling party.
Mweetwa was commenting on the appointment of MMD MPs as deputy ministers in the PF government.
President Michael Sata last week appointed three MMD members of Parliament as deputy ministers.
They are Elijah Muchima (Mwinilunga West), Stephen Masumba (Mufumbwe) and Isaac Banda (Lumezi).
Last month, PF secretary general expressed frustration that UPND MPs are rejecting offers of jobs as ministers. He said Sata offered Monze MP Jack Mwimbu a job as minister for Southern Monister but Mwiimbu refused.
