The Patriotic Front-PF in Northern Province has warned that the party will not accept any member of parliament to stand in the 2016 general elections in the region who is working against its structures.
In an apparent reference to Kasama MP and former Defence Minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba, PF Regional Secretary Everist Chela charged that his office is aware of some members of parliament who have allegedly formed parallel structures.
Mr Chela added that it will be difficult for the party to support and work with such individuals in the 2016 general elections.
He said this yesterday at a public meeting held at Mungwi’s President Park shortly before PF Malole Member of Parliament, Christopher Yaluma handed over a light canter truck he bought for his constituency.
The PF Regional Secretary was however quick to thank Yaluma for the gesture saying the vehicle will help to mobilize the party in the district.
And PF Malole Member of Parliament, Christopher Yaluma urged the community to utilize the vehicle for the intended purpose.
Yaluma disclosed that he made the donation in order to alleviate some challenges people in the community face in the district.
The said canter was bought at a cost of K 170,000.
