Wina to parade Mongu UPND ‘defectors’

Vice president Inonge Wina will this weekend parade some defectors from the UPND led by former Southern province minister in the MMD reign Joseph Mulyata whom she has organised a job from President Edgar Lungu.

Mulyata who uprooted a communal tap that was installed using Constituency Development Funds (CDF) after losing his Mongu central seat to PF’s Nathaniel Mubukwanu in 2011 has been assured of being adopted by the PF, sidelining Mubukwanu. In the meantime he will be appointed to seat on some quasi government institutions’ boards for him to earn some money.

Other people to defect with Mulyata is UPND Western province vice chairman (political) Musangu Njamba. Mulyata has also been tasked to recruit former labour minister Austin Liato whom he is coercing that he will talk to President Lungu to stop his prosecutions in the matter where he is accused of being in possession of property believed to have been proceeds of crime.

Liato was earlier acquitted but suspended DPP Mutembo Nchito has appealed the case which Lungu will now have to stop.
