Without budget, PF govt takes over all community schools

The PF government has announced that it has taken over the  running of all community schools in the country.

Confirming the development during a fundraising breakfast organised by Dzithandizeni Community School in Lusaka’s Kamanga Compound on Saturday morning, Community Development Minister Jean Kapata said the takeover will be a complete one and not partial.

She said the development will bring an end to all the problems community schools have been facing. She added that the PF government is tirelessly trying to achieve all the promises it made during last year’s election campaigns.

“I can announce that the government has decided to—through the Ministry of Education— take over all community schools in our country. And this takeover will not just be partial but it will be complete takeover of schools   in our country in terms of salaries for the teachers as well as providing the things that schools need,” said Kapata who is also the Member of Parliament for Mandevu Constituency.
