PF Vice President Guy Scott has assured the people of Nakalengule area in Serenje District that the Patriotic Front (PF) government will continue with developmental project left by the MMD government in Central province.
Scott cited major projects left by the MMD such as feeder roads, clinics, bridges and schools as some of the projects that the PF government will continue to spear head.
Scott further stated that government will continue to purchase maize from the farmers as a way of empowering the small scale
He said currently government was working at cleaning the system as it was marred with corruption.
Meanwhile Scott urged the people in the province to report anyone found reselling the subsided fertiliser.
He said the subsided fertiliser was meant to assist the small scale farmers adding that government will not entertain anyone found selling the commodity.
Later Scott introduced the PF aspirant candidate Jeliaty Ntembwa and appealed to the people to vote for the PF candidate in the Muchinga constituency by elections slated for July 5th 2012.
And Speaking earlier Central Province minister Philip Kosamu said the PF government wants to work with the People of Muchinga constituency in fostering development in the area.
Meanwhile PF aspirant candidate Jeliaty Ntembwa promised to work with the local people in bringing development once elected as PF Muchinga area member of parliament.
He urged the people of Nakalengule to work with government by voting for him during the by elections.
Muchinga constituency seat fell vacant after the death of former Vice President of Zambia George Kunda.
The MMD is featuring George Kunda’ son as candidate in the bye-election.
