Some civil servants working for the ministry of Defence have called upon President Michael Sata to immediately stop the corruption at the Ministry which is being perpetrated by the Minister Geoffrey Mwamba  a.k.a GBM.

Workers accuse Mwamba who is of  insulting them on a daily basis for delaying payments to his companies that are now  the major suppliers of goods and services to the ministry.
Meanwhile, the workers have also revealed that the minister’s company has ordered military uniforms from China as opposed to the traditional source that has been supplying the military regalia over the years.
Sources from the Ministry of Defence told the Watchdog that they had been fade up with the continued insults by the minister over payments to his companies which supply the ministry.
“The minister is always bragging that he spent so much money on the PF campaign and that it was time for him to recoup his money. We are always being insulted that ‘iwe te ndalama shabanoko’ do you know how much money I spent on this PF campaign?
“He actually goes further to say that ba Sata would not have been president if it was not for my money that is why I will make sure that I get back the money I spent on campaigns, ‘te ndalama shenu bafikala nidalama shabuteko’ you must pay,” said the source.
Further the source revealed that the minister had asked the transport controller at the ministry to ensure that his fuel allocation was increased.
“We put 40 litres in his vehicles  but he has ordered that we must put full tanks, he has four government vehicles at his house and all are almost running on his perusal businesses,” said the source.
The informer also revealed that the two Permanent secretaries that had worked in the ministry had failed to work with the minister because of his alleged dubious activities which they could not entertain.
“PS Kazembe would actually take documents to ask him to sign if he wanted payments made and that is how she was removed. Under one year the ministry has seen three PSs and two deputy minister why? It’s because of the minister’s dubious activities. These are the people that are actually watering down the President’s resolve to fight corruption because the man now is the chairperson of all tender committees in the ministry and he is paying himself,” said the source.
The workers threatened that they would expose the minister’s corrupt activities further.
“He is always panicking when there is a story so we are sure he will call for  après briefing and we are ready to take him head on we are actually grateful to you the watchdog for giving us data about this ma who is reaping off the country,” said the source.
