Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba says his government will start delivering tangible development to the people by next year.
Mwamba said the PF government is currently operating using the former MMD government’s budget which has made it impossible for them to undertake certain developments come next year because it will be its budget.
Mwamba who is also Kasama PF Member of Parliament said this when addressed hundreds of marketers and some Kasama residents at a public meeting at Chambeshi market.
Mwamba who was making his first public meeting since his re-election and appointment as Minister of Defence has however
apologized to the people of Kasama for taking too long to visit, address and thank them for the votes.
Mwamba said the President had been busy organizing his government since his election but promised to come at a later date.
Meanwhile, The Member of Parliament has donated K50 million to the market towards the improvement of water reticulation and ablution blocks at the markets and another K50 million to some groups.
He however did not release the money saying the people must form a committee that will spearhead the rehabilitation works before he could release the money.
