Zambia Bids to Host 2015 Africa Cup Of Nations

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has announced that it will bid to host the 2015 Africa cup of nations, according to Muvi TV
FAZ General Secretary, George Kasengele, says the association will this week write to the Confederation of African Football (CAF)to express interest to host the 2015 edition of the nation’s cup.
He says if the bid for 2015 fails, the association will vie to host the 2017 edition.
Kasengele says the decision to bid to host the nations cup was reached at during an executive committee meeting held on 29th October, 2010.
He says the association feels government has provided the necessary infrastructure through the pending construction of infrastructure in Livingstone, Lusaka and the new stadium in Ndola.
Kasengele was speaking at a media briefing at football house.
Zambia last attempted to host the nations cup in 1988 a bid that saw the country banned after failing to stage the event.
Another attempt was done in 2004.
