Zambia fails to beat Niger

Zambia’s chances of qualifying for the Morocco African Cup of Nations tournament have suffered yet another set back after drawing 0-0 with Niger on the evening that saw Mozambique beat Cape Verde 2-0.
Cape Verde however maintains the top position on 6 points while Mozambique has taken the second position on five points. Zambia and Niger are tied on 2 points each with Zambia having a superior goal aggregate.
The Chipolopolo Boys have two games at home one against Niger in less than a week and Cape Verde and will have to beat Mozambique away. Should Zambia lose any of these games their chances of qualifying will be mathematical.
Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili has been busy fighting and quarrelling with University of Zambia students over bursaries instead of concentrating on issues under his ministry.
