Zambia in group A of Futsal Cup of Nations

The Zambia futsal national team has been placed in Group A of the 2016 Africa Futsal Cup of Nations along with hosts South Africa, Mozambique and Tunisia following a draw conducted at Southern Sun Hotel – O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg on Wednesday.
The 2016 Africa Futsal Cup of Nations, held under the auspices of the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) for the men’s national teams, will take place in South Africa from 15th to 24th April 2016.
Zambia qualified for the continental tournament for the first time after edging Equatorial Guinea on goal difference after the two teams tied on 7 – 7 over two legs.
Hosts South Africa will be making their fourth appearance while Mozambique will be making their third and Tunisia their second.
Group B of the eight-team tournament comprises Angola (2nd appearance), Egypt (5th appearance), Libya (3rd appearance) and Morocco (4th appearance).
Zambia will play their opening match against Tunisia at Ellis Park on April 15 before facing South Africa two days later at the same venue. The final group match against Mozambique will be played at Wembley Arena on April 19.
Winners and runners-up from each group will qualify for the semi-finals scheduled for April 22.
The 3rd and 4th place play off and the final will be played at Ellis Park on April 24.
