Zambia tells SA to stop brutalising people who fought apartheid

Zambia has accused South Africans of Brutalising the People Who Helped in their Liberation Struggle.

The Zambian government through its ruling party Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Mwila has called on the South African government to stop the ongoing xenophobic attacks on other Africans.

Mwila told journalists in Lusaka that he has since written to Africa National Congress (ANC) Secretary General Ace Magashule over the same.

He said as Africans are one and there is no need to kill each other.

He stated that South Africans should realize that the same people they are brutalizing today helped them in their liberization struggle.

He explained that South Africa got Independence because of the support of other African countries.

Mwila said he recalled that Zambians and other Africans sacrificed their lives to liberate South Africa from the shackles of the Apartheid Regime.

“A significant multitude of Zambians and other Africans paid the ultimate price as their blood inter-mingled in death with the blood of their South African comrades,” he said.

Mwila said it was against this background that the Patriotic Front had followed” with deep concern and great trepidation” reports of increasing xenophobic violence by South African nationals on Zambians and other African nationals in South Africa.

“Xenophobic acts are against the spirit of the liberation struggle and the values of a liberated South Africa. Xenophobia is against universal African value system of” Ubuntu.”

The PF Chief Executive Officer said Africans should exbhit the spirit of oneness.

And Mwila disclosed tha President Edgar Chagwa Lungu has assured the people of Zambia that the prices of mealie meal will be reduced before the end of the year.

“I was with His Excellency the President, Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu this morning, and he sends his greetings to you all. The president told me that he is coming up with measures that will see to it that the prices of mealie meal reduce,” said Hon Mwila.

He indicated that the president personally assured him that he remains committed to see to it that the prices of mealie meal are within affordable range considering that the Patriotic Front remains a pro-poor party.

Lundu can not advise on xenophobia because that is what he is practicing within the country against selected tribes, you will not hear him say anything about what is happening down south, in fact, he is I am sure already planning his flight down south for the meeting other heads of state have shunned, watch this space and argue or concur with me latter.

Is Zambia a country that is practicing open tribalism got any moral right to advise South Africa to stop the xenophobic attacks. South Africa should not be held hostage by Zambia and other countries from expressing their opinion the way they think they should. Remember also that it was not Zambia alone that voiced concern about racial segregation in South Africa.

There is tribalphobic going on in Zambia. This PF administration has systemically excluded people from some region from the government.
