Zambian Airways was fraudlently obtained

Information has emerged on how Director of Public Prosecutions Mutembo Nchito and his brother Nchima acquired Zambian Airways. It was pure fraud. Zambian Airways was initially called Roan Air and owned by the then Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines (ZCCM) a parastatal body. Roan Air operated under a company called Mining Air Services. When the MMD government decided to dismantle the ZCCM,a group of people who worked for Roan Air decided to buy the Airline under Management buy out just like the Copperbelt Energy Corporation (CEC) that was initially called ZCCM Power Division and Coppernet Solutions which was the Information Technology department of ZCCM.
The Management Buy Out(MBO) team at Roan air hired the services of MNB Legal practitioners a law firm owned by the Nchito brothers, Elijah Banda and Patrick Matibini the current speaker of the National Assembly. When time came for the team to pay legal fees to MNB, Mutembo gave the MBO team a huge bill. The team failed to settle the bill and Mutembo Nchito and his partners put Roan Air services under liquidation. What happened there after was pure fraud because Mutembo Nchito and his brother got Roan Air Services and later re-named it Zambian Airways. The normal thing was to sell the assets and get the money not the lawyer acquiring the company.
