Zambian students in Russia face de-registration

Dear editor;
We as students studying in Russia are tired of being lied to by the Zambian government. We feel like our hands are tire and our voices cannot be heard under water. We wish to complain to the government for the 99th time or maybe more, if at all our cries for freedom will be heard about the delaying of medical ploicy, top up allowance, and the luck of student protection from the Zambian government.
Student in Russia under Zambian government scholarships are being threatened to be expelled if they don’t renew their medical policies which the government has not yet paid them since last year’s September delays.
You can not renew your visa in Russia without a medical policy. Here is a letter delayed since last year  from the bursaries committee, which seems like soon there will be visa problems for all students as the government has failed to pay for their medical policies. If you don’t have a medical policy in Russia you can not be granted a visa, which is required to be renewed every year.
And if you are not granted a visa you will be sent back home to renew it from Zambia. Now an air ticket from Russia to Zambia costs about K 20 million to and from for one person, and if the medical policy is not paid on time, government will be obligated as it is already obligated to, buy an air ticket for all the 1100 and would cost about K2.2 Billion for all the Zambian students currently studying under the Russian government scholarships  How can this be? Is it very difficult to do things on time before they start spending more money on students air tickets?
A medical policy costs not less than $200 that required by Russian law and certified to help students if attacked by racists, with treatment or if they fall sick, as Russia is very cold for African students to stay healthy always, especially since last year’s $150 medical policy price for international students but the government that only pays us the same $150 has not even paid us the same amount since last year’s pay.
This is almost 18months now, and a visa is urgently required if not needed every year. Don’t turn your back on student abroad as this dents a bad image on Zambia and it’s caring of it’s own people outside Zambia. We know the government is too big, but Please The government must talk to the Russian authorities before we are deported for breaking Russian law by living without a policy, while other students are scared of receiving medical treatment of cold diseases because their policies have expired and “our so called embassy” based in Russia just watches and does nothing apart from publishing a letter to all students in Russia, in stead why didn’t they talk to the authorities so that we may be allowed to get free medical attention without medical policies.why are they quiet, we as students don’t make laws but Russia does, and that letter was not supposed to aim at us but to ask for help from the Russian authorities for help, as we have a cisis. No medical policy, no medical treatment, no visa renew and hence risk being deported.
Why does the government keep on breaching the contracts that were signed at the bursaries committee between each student and the Zambian government on what the contract is all about? I wonder what’s going to happen soon to all students with expired or without medical policies which is stipulated and stated in the contract agreements that were signed between the government and the students. Don’t treat us like animals. Give what’s due on time so as not to breach the contract even further, we are humbly asking.
Concerned students studying in Russia.
