Zambia’s Inflation slows to 13.0 per cent

Zambia’s inflation slowed to 13.0 percent year-on-year in September from 14.3 percent the previous month, partly on lower food prices, the Central Statistical Office said on Thursday.

“The decline in the annual inflation rate in September 2009 was mainly due to the decrease in food prices, new motor vehicle prices and airfares,” the CSO said in a statement.
