Zanaco upgrade next week will lead to more mess

Reference is made to the above issue about the migration of our banking system to a new one on the 20 January,2014.
We wish to advise the nation that ZANACO  PLC is not yet ready for this change of system due to the following reasons:
We are urgently calling upon the Central Bank Bank  Supervision to come and have an on the spot check at our institution before the institution lands in a serious mess.We do not want another NATSAVE SAGA were a flawed system was procured and quickly implemented by the management then at natsave.
DEPOSITS AND LOANS BALANCES-CONTROL ACCOUNTS FOR ALL BRANCHES NOT BALANCING
The total customer balances for both deposits and loans when aggregated in the current system is not tying up with their respective control accounts they report to   in our Financials.We call upon you as regulators of Banks to come and verify thisserious anomally in ours books.Beacuse how do we take on balances with such serious differences.The danger is that someone could have tempered with controls accounts or the actual accounts for customers especially govt accounts which take long to reconcile.
ACCOUNT OPENING FOR CASA AND LOAN ACCOUNTS
As a bank we need to receive deposits which we in turn lend to generate income for the institution.And with this so called upgarde of a system we are currently facing serious challenges as regards opening accounts for CASA and loans in the new upgrade.So how do we go live when we are unable to perform SUCH BASIC functions in the upgrade.
COLLECTION OF INCOME AND TAXES
We were being told that this new system is an upgrade and will be able to perform better than the current system.
We advise that this upgrade will not be able to peform some functions that this current system is currently collecting electronically without any manual intervention.
The bank has to resort to manual entries.This is a danger because we will be going back to the days in the bank when staff used to feast on Bank Revenue.These consultants are telling us that the system does not support such operations unless we request for customasition which will cost the bank more resources
GENERATION OF ACCOUNT STATEMENTS FOR CUSTOMERS
This simple operation is also a challenge.So how are we going to serve customers on 20 January,2014 when we go live.
GRZ SALARIES NEXT WEEK(UPLOAD FILES)
Our bank is currrently handling the salaries for all GRZ Employees.With the migration of the system next week we for see a situation where we as a bank will fail to upload these salaries because under the new system the upload files have been a serious challenge.We will be seen to be working against GOVT
The biggest problem we have as an institution is that these people(CHARITY AND MICHAEL) heading this project have no interest of the bank at heart all they want is to go ahead with go live even when they know very well that this project has a lot of challenges.Most of them have been reported in the challenges platform(Mantis). Most critical issues have been reported and they have been sent to help desk in India AND TO DATE they still remain unresolved.
These team leaders are saying that these are no show stoppers we can go live and yet this is not the case.These consultants will be gone you CHARITY and us will remain firefighting this mess.
The support staff of this Project team are very much aware of these challenges but are failing to talk much about them due to a lot of intimidation from Charity and Michael .They are being accused of resisting change.
The most worrying thing also is that of late the new crop of IT staff being employed by the bank have developed a habit of defrauding the bank.These guys are able to defraud the bank and make sure that the transanctions of the fraud are completely erased from the database.Were auditors have no audit trail.Now with these confusions we anticipate next week i would urge the bank to make massive provisions for possible fraud.
We wonder what has happened to EDWARD MUTALE who is an ardent critic of systems in the Bank could it be that he has also been compromised despite him having some blue eyed boys in the project team who can give him first hand data of what is going on at the Project.Maybe he eat something with his late friend
We wish to mention that never in the history of ZANACO has the bank ever employed a Director(Foreign for that matter) to supervise a so called upgrade of the system.This explains why the steering committe is at pains to accept that this system  is not yet ready for the third time now.The bank has spent so much money on allowances for these foreign consultants and yet this is what they want to give us as a product(flawed upgrade).
We have highlighted a few challenges for now for fear of victimisation but we urgently urge you as regulators to do an on the spot check at the Project Office and selected branches in Lusaka and other towns to get first hand data on the other challenges that are serious before these guys wire us with a flawed system.We will reveal more then.We would suggest you interview the people on the ground as individuals we will be able to speak out.
We also call upon the ACC to send a team of officers to investigate the procurement of this so called upgrade you will find that monies could have exchanged hands.Because you wonder how some people are pushing so much for the implementation to go ahead with so many  UNRESOLVED issues.
If the BOZ FAILS to stop this mess we call upon HE MICHAEL SATA to resolve it on our behalf.
We ARE NOT ONLY WRITING US EMPLOYEES BUT ALSO SHAREHOLDERS TOO.
