The Zambia Congress of Trade Unions has advised politicians to desist from engaging in personal attacks as the tendency is deterimental to national development.
ZCTU Secreatry General, Roy Mwaba, says opposition politicians should instead critisize government in a constructive manner.
He says its sad to note that often opposition leaders attack government unnecessarily and use derogatory languange to do so.
In a statement released to ZNBC news in Lusaka on Thursday Mr. Mwaba said the practice is retrogressive.
He also called on government to stop responding to the attacks and concentrate on implementing national programmes.
And Mr. Mwaba has called for the unconditional re-instatement of workers dissmised by Konkola Copper mines management.
He said the action by KCM management amounts to intimidation and violation of the workers’ rights.
