Zambia Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) Secretary General Roy Mwaba has appealed to the in-coming Government to seriously address the plight of workers by revising labor laws.
Speaking to journalists at his office Lusaka, Mwaba said the country needs leaders who will prioritize job creation and speed up economic growth.
He noted that next president must ensure labor laws are revised in favor of the Zambian people so that foreign investors can desist from abuse of local employees.
Mwaba said it is sad that a lot of citizens have suffered under the hands of foreign investors and there is need to give them relief and make sure there is freedom from abuse.
Meanwhile, Mwaba advised individuals that will not emerge victorious in the September 20 polls to concede defeat and champion peace.
He further urged political parties and their members not be anxious and celebrate before the outcome is known but they all must wait for the winner to be announced.
