We have been experiencing power cuts almost on a daily basis now, especially whenever it rains. Whenever one calls the Zesco Call Centre, we are given the same reason of “tripping” – whatever they mean that has never been resolved.
As I am writing, we have had no power from Sunday, 16th December till now and no explanation has been given by Zesco. This is in Westwood along Mumbwa Road, farming block.
On several occasions we have had a number of electricals being damaged. The worst part is that Zesco does not care at all.
Has Zesco failed the Zambian people? Lights is a necessity and we pay for it, explain to us. Having no power for more than 24hours is unacceptable.
