Zim justice minister calls for peace ahead of polls

Zimbabwean Minister of Justice, Patrick Chinamasa says it is vital for Zambia to maintain peace and tranquility in the forthcoming elections to avoid interference from western countries.

Speaking to Joy fm in Lusaka, Chinamasa said the country is lucky because western powers have never interfered in its political activities.

He said Zimbabwe is still recovering from the western nation’s interference in its politics which almost crippled all sectors of the economy.

Chinamasa stated that his country would love to see Zambia hold successful and peaceful elections so that they are seen to be free and fair.

The Zimbabwe Justice Minister urged the Zambian people to turn out in numbers n exercise their democratic right by choosing their preferred candidates.
