Emirates airline has made an emergency landing after taking-off at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka, Zambia, because the plane has developed a fault.
The Emirates plane flight number EK714 bound for Dubai made a u-turn to the runway at about mid night.
A check by ZNBC Monday morning found the plane still parked on the runway at the Airport.
The spokesperson for the Airlines Gillian Langmead says all passengers and crew safely got off the plane.
Ms Langmead says all the passengers have been accommodated in hotels in Lusaka and have already been booked on alternative flights
Ms Langmead says Emirates will ensure that passengers’ safety is not compromised.
And Communication and Transport Minister Christopher Yaluma says Zambia has sufficient safety measures to guarantee passengers safety.
Mr Yaluma says Kenneth Kaunda international airport is equipped with the necessary lighting for safe landing and takeoff.
