Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) boss Berlin Msiska wants to award a contract for bulky data analysis system his to his friends despite the resources being donor donor money, according to highly classified information obtained by the Zambianwatchdog.

A check at the Ministry of Finance and State House sources have revealed that the money is coming from International Development Association (IDA) and is more that US$800,000 more from the duly awarded team.

The Zambian government has received a grant from IDA towards the cost of Public Finance Management Reform Programme for supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of a Bulky Data Analysis System and these are funds that Msiska wants to give his friends even after the contract was awarded to another company.

Sources have called on investigative wings such as toothless Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to fully investigate the scam and even the recently awarded contracts which Msiska has been cancelling without tender procedures.

Msiska was dismissed by late President Levy Mwanawasa for corruption some of which involves giving extra works and payments to his friends on contracts that are already running.

He has lately been boasting that the entire government machinery and senior people are in his pockets and he is untouchable.
