ZRA says does not have details of tax evaders

The Zambia Revenue Authority says it has not received full details from the Financial Intelligence Centre concerning tax evasion cited in the 2018 trends report.

ZRA Corporate Communications Manager Topsy Sikalinda says the revenue authority is keen to collect lost revenues through tax evasion if they are collectable.

He says ZRA will act accordingly once it is furnished with sufficient details on tax evasion cited in the report.

According to the 2018 Financial Intelligence Trends report, Zambia lost K1 billion kwacha to tax evasion and other possible violations of the Income Tax Act and Customs and Excise Act.
