Zambia Union of Financial Institutions and Allied Workers (ZUFIAW) President Cephas Mukuka has called on government to stop instituting commissions of inquiry to undertake investigations.
In an interview with HOT FM, Mukuka noted that the creation of commissions of inquiry have diluted the work of relevant authorities in the nation that are capable of investigating operations in various institutions.
He said there is need for law enforcement agencies in Zambia to be allowed to do their work efficiently as they have the capacity to do so.
Mukuka noted that the nation is losing huge sums of money to the commissions of inquiry as they do not seem to benefit the common man.
The ZUFIAW President further government should ensure public resources are channeled to developmental projects that benefit citizens and boost economic growth.
