Zumla Wept

History has a tendency of repeating itself. The shortest verse in the Bible is John 11 verse 35. It simply reads Jesus Wept. When Former Tourism and Arts Minister Sylvia Masebo was dismissed for bringing the name of the President into disrepute, contempt and ridicule, someone suspected to be a business partner to Madam Sylvia Masebo wept. This person is Yousuf Zumla. Yousuf Zumla is a Zambian of Indian decent who owns Eastern Safaris. He is a personal friend to Ceremonial Vice President Guy Scot. For those not in the know, Zumla is the one who misled Masebo to dissolve the Zambia Wildlife Authority (ZAWA) board, fire senior managers and cancel duly awarded hunting concession tenders. The reason why Zumla misled Masebo was because his company (Eastern Safaris ) was not shortlisted by the ZAWA evaluation committee. Masebo has cried foul over the misinformation from Zumla. “When Masebo was dismissed, Mr. Yousuf Zumla the owner of Eastern Safaris came to the Office of the Vice President weeping. He told Guy Scot that he will have problems with Masebo because he is the one who advised her to take the actions she took over ZAWA. He asked Guy Scot if it was possible for President Michael Sata to rescind his decision to fire Masebo. Scot said he was not the appointing authority. Zumla started crying just in the office of the Vice President at Cabinet Office” the source said. The source also disclosed that it was actually Zumla who assisted Masebo to pay her lawyers namely Robert Simenza, Michael Mundashi and Bonaventure Mutale all State Counsels.

” Zumla’s company was not shortlisted. That is where all these problems arise from. Do not be cheated Zumla is the one who mislead Masebo. He is an interested party in this. The Fact is that he  wept.
